Jay-Z’s Made In America concert announces LA show & performers

Made In America - LA

Jay-Z’s annual Made In America concert is now making a stop in Los Angeles. I can only hope that it makes it’s way to Chicago one year. Some hip hop highlights include Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, Cypress Hill, YG, Nipsey Hussle, Hit-Boy, DJ Mustard, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, Jay Rock & SZA. If you’re in the LA area, this is not a show to be missed.

Wiz Khalifa – 28 Grams (mixtape artwork)

In case you didn’t know, over the weekend Young Khalifa announced via Twitter that he would be dropping a new mixtape entitled 28 Grams (which equates to almost an ounce of cannabis in case you were wondering) sometime before his third album Blacc Hollywood drops. We still don’t have a release date for either project, but peep the artwork above.

KiD CuDi set to direct and write a short film for “Balmain Jeans”

Earlier this week, Cudder made the announcement that he would be writing and directing another short film. The first time he did something of this nature was with Shia LaBeouf for Maniac (check that out here,) and this time it’s for Balmain Jeans, a cut found on his recently released SATELLITE FLIGHT: The Journey To Mother Moon. No release date has been announced as of yet, but we will keep you posted.

XXL 2014 Freshman

Earlier today XXL revealed its cover for its infamous freshman issue. Personally, I have not been a fan of the list since Big Sean was a freshman, but this year the list is decent. Chicago is definitely represented in this year’s issue and congratulations to the freshman class of 2014. I can’t wait for the cyphers; I will def keep you guys posted on that.
